If you own an Apple Watch, you do not need to carry iPhone during the match. Prepare the match on iPhone, record on Watch, then transfer the completed session back to the same Playprint analysis.
Check the connection once before your first match
- Make sure Playprint is installed on both paired devices.
- Allow Location and permission to save workouts to Health.
- Prepare the match on iPhone and tap Start recording with Watch. Recording begins after the five-second countdown on Watch.
Leave it on the bench or in your bag. Watch keeps recording if the connection drops, and the match can transfer once the devices are close again.

Finish on Watch, analyse on iPhone
- Stop the recording on Watch after the final whistle.
- Stay near iPhone until the transfer-complete message appears.
- On iPhone, confirm periods and positions, then review distance, sprints, and the heatmap.
If transfer does not finish immediately, the match has not disappeared. When Watch says it is safely stored, bring both devices together, open the Watch app, and send it again.
Wrist by default, with secure body mounting as an option
Wearing Watch correctly on your wrist is the simplest setup. If you place it in a body band or GPS vest, secure it against movement or loss and choose the actual wearing position in Playprint.
Check competition rules before wearing electronics. Indoor roofs, tall buildings, and obstructed sky can reduce GPS quality on any device.
